My mom grew sunflowers in her garden in Philly - I used to LOVE the fact that the flowers were bigger than me and I had to get up on my toes to pick the seeds. Plus, spitting out the husks was always fun...

What camera do you use to take such clear shots? Looking at that picture, I can literally smell the cleanness of the soil. I don't think there are many things that smell better than freshly tilled soil after a rain.

Shannon,
I think you might get a kick out of this. Friday I decided I was going to try and make veggie juice with a blender.

I bought bags of broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, differnt blends of veggies, and then celery, parsley, a cucumber, a bottle of low sodium tomatoe juice, and worsteshire sauce.

It was the first time I have ever used a blender.

How was I supposed to know I shouldn't use frozen veggies to make the juice. I broke the blender since it couldnt handle being filled with the frozen veggies.

I ended up using a salad slicer I bought a while ago - it helped to slice the frozen veggies -- however it made them look like baby poop.

Since the veggie juice did not go too well, and I had a LOT of frozen veggies that were open, I decided to use my crotch pot to make it all into veggie soup. I added a bottle of tomatoe juice (low sodium) and a bunch of worsteshire sauce. Then I left it on high for a few hours. Not only did the veggies become nice and soft, the soup tasted really good. I had to make 3 batches just to use up all the veggies, but it was definitely worth it.

And this was the first time I created a veggie soup. I didn't know what to expect. But I was pleasantly surprised that I made a good (and not bland) soup, and it smelled and tasted very good.

:)

I figured I'd share that with you, since I know you can cook a lot of good tasting stuff.

Catch ya later

I cannot wait to see what your new ideas are :)

p.s. I agree with Scienkoptic --- people's alterations do not make them who they are -- it is what is inside that counts :) And I will (as always) be happy to have you as a friend :)

Sometimes it takes some sh*t to hit the fan before you find out who your *real* friends are.

Sometimes you find out you've been sleeping with the enemy.
