Cane toads being the pest that they are, it's a good thing. There was an uproar about encouraging people to be cruel to the toads so they changed the rules and now all the toads have to be turned in alive and in good shape so they can be euthanized with CO2. It struck me as odd because running over cane toads with your truck is almost a sport as is doing all sorts of other cruel things to them. The dropper conseals when they have let go of the rat by putting their eitire hand in the drainpipe before letting go. Good clean fun. We used to play it with a beanbag instead. Less guts being smashed about the place I suppose... Not as good as “Whack the rat.”
