I’ve done the initial paintjob on the boat, which I’m sure will still be worked on a little. Left to do is more painting and finishing/sealing, and then mounting the engine and steering mechanism, registering it, and building a roof rack… and then I find out whether it’s waterproof or not!

Perhaps this gives it character, but I clear-coated it with a gloss layer, and a zillion fruitfly-like bugs landed, mostly on the yellow part… Grrrrr!
so awesome! and so funny about the bug landings. that’s happened to a few of my thingies also.
They’re gnats, they were hovering over my garden yesterday. You need glitter paint, man. Glitter pain on the lightning and the skull!
I couldn’t help but notice that you neglected to blog about accidently fiberglassing your camera inside of yer fancy schmancy boat..
and for the record, I vote yes on glitterpaint..Very retro glam. I dig it
That’s some serious badassness. I hope the engine will at least have some glitter streamers to highlight your blistering speed.
